Rick starts off the program with a conversation inspired by Peter, a caller from the weekend show on WBAI in New York, and his story about the dignity of work, and the dignity we should all keep in retirement. Then Jamie Martin of The Association of Pennsylvania State College and University Faculties (APSCUF) stops by to discuss a recent scheme to deprive young people in the state of their access to university education. Then Arohi Pathak of The Center for American Progress join us to talk about the Child Tax Credit, and why we need to make it permanent.

The second hour begins with Dr. Kelly Senholz and a discussion about Covid variants, the resurgence we’re seeing in unvaccinated areas, and what we can do about it, and then we end the night with former GOP congressman Bob Ney, who will discuss what looks to be the GOP’s next round of bad faith negotiations – this time on infrastructure.
